Top Ten Books I Read in 2012:

Audrey Wait

 1. Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway

This book is a reason to love the YA genre, and Robin is such an awesome author. If you haven’t read Audrey, Wait!, don’t wait, go read it now! I also got to read an ARC of her next novel Also Known As, and I’m so excited to review it!

Dragon Slippers

2. Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George

I loved Dragon Slippers (the first in the Dragon Slippers trilogy). Dragons, wittiness, and adventure, oh my! Just look at that tagline on the cover: She wanted dragon gold. She got a pair of shoes.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

3. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

This was such a cute story and I absolutely adored Jennifer’s writing style! Review coming soon. I’m so excited for Jennifer’s next book This is What Happy Looks Like!

Regarding the Fountain

4. Regarding the Fountain: A Tale, In Letters, of Liars and Leaks by Kate Kilse

I love, love, love Kate’s Regarding the series (I’m also a fan of her book Trial by Journal). Told in letters, this is one series full of hilarity, mystery, and a whole lot of fun!

flush

5. Flush by Carl Hiaasen

I had to add one of Carl Hiaasen’s Middle Grade books; I love all of them and can’t recommend Hoot, Flush, Chomp, and Scat enough!

the Beekeepers Apprentice

6. The Beekeeper’s Apprentice by Laurie R. King

“I was fifteen when I first met Sherlock Holmes, fifteen years old with my nose in a book as I walked the Sussex Downs, and nearly stepped on him. In my defense I must say it was an engrossing book…”  and so begins the first chapter of one of my favorite books!

just One Wish by Janette Rallison

7. Just One Wish by Janette Rallison

Janette Rallison is one of my favorite authors ever; her books are so hilarious and unique! Just One Wish is my favorite book of hers (although I adore all her books), I highly recommend it!

Don't Expect Magic Cover

8. Don’t Expect Magic by Kathy McCullough

I loved, loved, loved Don’t Expect Magic! This book is so much fun and Kathy created a hilarious and sarcastic voice for her main character; I can’t wait for the next book in the series, Who Needs Magic!

My Final 2 Choices, Where I Bend the Rules a Bit by Listing 2 ARCs I Read This Year:

How My Summer Went Up in Flames

9. How My Summer Went Up in Flames by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski

How My Summer Went Up in Flames keeps finding it’s way onto all my recent TTT lists! When this book comes out next year, you will most definitely want to snap it up! I’m so excited for Jennifer’s next book, Famous Last Words!

Going Vintage

10. Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt

Going Vintage isn’t out yet, but I received an ARC of it and I loved it! This book is lots of fun and absolutely fabulous, just like its cover! Definitely a winner for me, I can’t wait to review it!

What are your favorite books you read this year?
